Program Description:
This 10-day course will examine the issues of economic growth and global poverty. Students will meet with leaders of international development agencies, as well as local government, and for-profit organizations attempting to alleviate poverty. You will leave this trip with a comprehensive understanding of the economic issues surrounding global poverty as well as a sampling of the wide variety of development strategies used around the world. This course is ideal for students interested in, development as a career, international business or ministry.

**Important Note: Samford University subsidies non-London study abroad programs with 70% of the tuition paid for the course. For this program, the amount of $2,081 is subtracted from the program cost of $3,881. If a student withdraws from the course before departure or participates in the program without registering for the course, they will be responsible for the full program cost.
