À coeur vaillant rien d'impossible!

Samford in France is a five-week, summer program which offers a unique opportunity to explore France's rich heritage of language and culture through classroom study, travel, and the experience of daily living with a local family.

Beginning to advanced-levels of students can to earn eight credits by studying at the Centre Universitaire d'Etudes Francaises at the Universite Stendhal-Grenoble III and by completing outside assignments for the Samford professor-in-residence.

One weekend, students participate in a day-long excursion to Chamonix, the site of Mont Blanc and the first winter Olympics in 1924. Two weekends are open for travel and cultural activities.

After a month of polishing their French skills in Grenoble, students have the option to spend four and a half days in Paris as the culmination of their trip before returning home. Visits to the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, the Opera, and the Musee d'Orsay are included along with a boat tour on the Seine River.

You may have never dreamed you'd study French in the Alps, but nothing is impossible with a willing heart (À coeur vaillant rien d'impossible).
