Food, Culture, and Society in London

June 4 - June 20, 2018


This course is a multicultural study of indigenous foods from various regions of the world represented in ethnic London. London provides a literal microcosm of the world where students can experience not only the unique cuisine, but also the customs of variety of ethnic cultures. Through visits to neighborhood markets, grocery stores, food halls, restaurants, pubs, tea houses, castles, museums, churches, mosques, synagogues, temples and other sites, students will be able to contextualize their cultural research.

**Important Note: Samford University subsidizes non-Daniel House study abroad programs with 70% of the tuition paid for the course. For this program, the subsidy of $2,092 is subtracted from the true program cost of $4,695.
